والأعرق لكرة القدم في العالم وهو حالياً الأقوى
والأكثر متابعة ومشاهدة على مستوى كوكب الأرض
وربما كواكب اخرى حيث يوجد المعنى الحقيقي
لصناعة كرة القدم هنا يوجد العائد المادي الأضخم
في العالم لصناعة كرة القدم ويصل العائد المادي
من الدوري الانجليزي الممتاز فقط ومن البث
التلفزيوني فقط 7 مليار دولار سنوياً بما يضاهي
ميزانية دولة صغيرة . لما لا والانجليز هم مهد
كرة القدم الحديثة وهم أول من نشر اللعبة في
الماضي عبر امبراطوريتهم التي لا تغيب عنها
الشمس وعبر مستعمراتهم مترامية الأطراف في كل
أرجاء العالم وهم ايضاً أوصياء على اللعبة وقوانينها

محطات عبر التاريخ
. بدأ الدوري الانجليزي بنظامه القديم سنة 1888 استقر
هذا النظام لأكثر من مائة عام حيث تم تغيير نظام
البطولة في سنة 1992 لمواكبة معطيات العصر .
في عام 1814 بدأت كلية ( هارو ) في وضع لوائح
هارو) مع حملة للإهتمام بكرة القدم وتنظيمها وتوحيد )
قواعدها وبدأ التفكير لأول مرة في (هارو) في تحديد عدد
اللاعبين في كل فريق بأحد عشر لاعباً يرتدون زياً موحداً
- نادي شيفلد هو أقدم نادي في العالم تأسس سنة 1857
أول مباراة اذيعت عبر الإذاعة كانت مباراة ارسينال وشيفلد
يونايتد في 22 يناير سنة 1927 وانتهت بالتعادل 1 - 1
- أول مباراة اذيعت عبر التليفزيون كانت مباراة تجريبية
وهي عبارة عن تقسيمة لفريقين من نادي ارسينال وكانت
في 16 سبتمبر سنة 1937
- أول نادي يحصل على الدوري الانجليزي بالنظام القديم
هو نادي بريستون نورث اند
- أول نادي يحصل على الدوري الانجليزي بالنظام الجديد
هو نادي مانشيستر يونايتد
